Schutz Assessment Philosophy and Practices

Schutz is a school where enthusiasm for learning and being a member of a respectful and caring family community are readily apparent. Our motto is, “Schutz is Family”.   We take great pride in providing an excellent student-centered program in which our elementary students grow and develop as learners and community members. In the 2019-2020 school year, we are laying the foundation to become an IB World School.

The Elementary School is characterized by its supportive, caring family ethos with high expectations for both academic achievement and behavior.  Each classroom is a community of learners. Through inquiry based learning engagements students explore their world, think critically and creatively, and with a growth mindset, challenge themselves with an excitement for learning.  Students are empowered to reach their fullest potential in a culture which meaningfully incorporates the Learner Profile of respect, responsibility, resilience, compassion and integrity in all that we do.

At Schutz American School, parents are valued parents in learning.  Regular communication helps support parent involvement and home connections in both learning and school activities.

Our strong commitment to empower all of our students to pursue their passions as confident global citizens is what makes Schutz a stand out from other schools.
