The office of president shall be filled in the spring and will be elected by the general election of the student body, grades 8-11. The office of president is open to any sophomore or junior with a minimum of one consecutive school year experience.
The offices of vice-president, treasurer, and secretary shall be filled in the fall and will also be elected by a general election of the student body, grades 9-12. However, only the representatives elected to the Student Council may run for the office of vice-president, secretary, or treasurer.
The High School Student Council, HSSC, consists of eight class representatives, four officers, and an advisor. The Student Council meets at least once a week to discuss issues addressed in the agenda.
Meetings are held every Monday during lunch in Mr. Huggins's classroom. The meeting is called to order at 11:45 AM and is dismissed when all items on the agenda have been discussed.
