The Schutz American School website is very unique in that it is maintained almost exclusively by students. The High School Information
Technology class along with previous class members work very hard to maintain and add to the site in order to make it as comprehensive as possible.
The students are
responsible for creating and designing informational pages, individual teacher web pages,
internet resource pages, school organization pages, and activity pages. They are also responsible for taking some of the photographs that appear on the site. They work very diligently to keep the Schutz American School web site current.

School web sites, when properly constructed, are information
systems. Web sites also connect users to the outside world. Given the
sometimes poorly organized resources available on the web, a good school web
site helps people locate educationally worthwhile information with a minimum of
wasted time and wandering.
The goals of our web site are to:
1. Introduce visitors to the school - our mission, our
character, our curricular and co-curricular offerings to our students.
2. Point to excellent information on the larger Web -
identifying the best resources the web has to offer an educational family,
those most likely to support the curriculum and the kinds of investigations
likely to be undertaken by staff and students alike.
3. Provide an opportunity for the publishing of
student works to both a local and a global audience - whether those works be
art, music, or writing, but also allow the students to learn web design techniques.
